Near Toulouse, they steal products worth €2,500 from several stores without being identified
They did the sales without going through the checkout. On Tuesday January 24, two men were arrested for serial thefts in a shopping center near Toulouse. The facts were reported by a local resident, who spotted the suspicious behavior of two men near a sporting goods store in Blagnac, very close to the shopping mall. It was then 7:30 p.m. and the witness noted that, each in turn, the suspects were going back and forth between the store and their car.
Arrived on the spot, the police check the individuals, even though one of them leaves the store equipped with a jogging mark. Their vehicle is searched and the police understand that the defendants are involved in numerous thefts, carried out in different brands. Indeed, several branded items were discovered in the car, including four down jackets, the value of which was 260 euros each. According to a police source contacted by The Independent Opinionthe total damage is revealed at 2,500 euros at least.
Known for similar facts
The stolen clothes appear from shops deployed in the shopping mall of the Blagnac shopping center, which the two men would have scoured without being caught. And their well-honed stratagem was about to work again since the sports brand had not spotted them, only the vigilance of the local resident having made it possible to catch them in the act.
The respondents, aged 35 and 30, are both known to the police for similar acts. Taken to the police station, they were still in the police premises this Thursday afternoon as part of an extension of police custody and pending a decision from the magistrate.
