Further interrogations about known murders in Amsterdam and Lieshout
Wednesday confessed C that he beat 70-year-old Willem van der Willigen to death with a hammer in his villa in Lieshout at the beginning of May 2021. He also admitted that less than two months later in Amsterdam he strangled 65-year-old Benito van Ommeren with his belt. C. is on trial for both crimes with his boyfriend, the transsexual prostitute Sharona de J. (33).
De J. temporarily in the home of Van Willigen, who would have been a customer of hers. C. would have killed him while he was sleeping in his bed. He has been lying dead in the villa for weeks. C. and De J. stole various goods from the man, including his car, and looted his trust. In the period after that they wasted that money among other things by staying in expensive hotels in Amsterdam. The couple used a lot of alcohol and drugs.
Detention
The two were arrested on June 26, 2021 in the home of victim Van Ommeren in his home in West. Van Ommeren had been dead for a long time by then. His remains were still in the house ten times from the arrest.
The public prosecutor asked the court on Wednesday to adjourn the trial, which should have been completed this week. He will check C.’s knowledge on the basis of the criminal interrogations for their reliability.
The court will continue the case later this year.
