Prince Albert II positive for Covid-19 for the third time
The Sovereign has no symptoms, reassures the Prince’s Palace.
“Asymptomatic, his state of health inspires absolutely no concern. He works remotely, in permanent contact with the members of his cabinet, his government as well as with his close collaborators”, indicates the official press release this Tuesday evening, specifying that “This period of isolation will adapt to the health rules in force. »
This announcement will have consequences on the Prince’s agenda. He will not be able to be present this Wednesday evening at the gala of the 45th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo, nor at the Sainte Dévote ceremonies, next Thursday and Friday.
Falling incidence rate
This new contamination is the Sovereign’s third, the first having occurred at the start of the pandemic in March 2020, and the second in April 2022.
She reminds us that the health crisis is not yet completely behind us, even if the incidence rate in Monaco is relatively low. Last week (January 16 to January 22), the latter was 43 compared to 64 the previous week. It should be noted that three people, including a resident, are being treated in intensive care.
