From housekeeper to hotel manager
Jurate has extensive experience with the Moxy system.
June 2023, Moxy Tromsø will open, with immediate proximity to the airport and with fantastic views from lounge areas on the 11th floor, the Moxy chain writes in a press release.
Well, it is clear that Jurate Poluniovaite will be the new director. Jurate has worked at several Moxy hotels in Scandinavia, and has reached a step up as director in the Ishavsbyen.
Jurate started at the Comfort Hotel Xpress in Oslo as a housekeeper and assistant floor manager, where she worked for a year. This was followed by a job as Crew Manager in Copenhagen before she got the position of Front Office Manager in Bergen. The Tromsø hotel will be her fourth destination.
– Jurate is a leader type with great ambitions and fits perfectly in the Moxy system. We are very lucky to have her on the team, and I trust that she will do a good job for us in Tromsø, says Sanne Nørgaard Færgsted, director of operations at Core Hospitality, which is the company behind Moxy Tromsø, in a press release.
Moxy Hotels is a low-cost chain that offers reasonable accommodation without compromising on quality and style.
– I am very happy to have been given this opportunity and cannot wait to become part of the end of a Moxy hotel. The hotel will be a fresh addition to today’s hotel market in Tromsø, says Jurate Poluniovaite.
Moxy Tromsø is the fourth place Moxy opens hotels in Scandinavia. From before, they have hotels in Bergen, Oslo and Copenhagen. The hotel chain plans to open Moxy Aarhus in 2026.
