Japan democratic processes and European support of the Republic of Moldova
The Tokyo authorities firmly support the democratic processes and the European consumption of the Republic of Moldova, investing important financial resources in the country’s modernization and development projects. This was mentioned at the meeting of the new ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova, Yamada Yoichiro, with the state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Ruslan Bolbocean, reports IPN.
Ruslan Bolbocean also listed recent visits to Japan by President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, noting that they had a significant impact on strengthening the Moldovan-Japanese relationship on multiple levels, especially on the commercial-economic dimension and promoting the profile of the Republic of Moldova in as a recipient of Japanese investments.
The Moldovan diplomat appreciated the substantial assistance granted to the Republic of Moldova by Japan, intended for several concrete projects and for the benefit of citizens from different localities of the country.
Ambassador Yamada Yoichiro highlighted the priorities of his agenda as head of the diplomatic mission in Chisinau and assured that he will make efforts to advance the Moldovan-Japanese dialogue in areas of common interest and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in political, economic and academic circles.
Yamada Yoichiro is a career diplomat and European policy expert with extensive professional experience, including as a professor at one of Japan’s most renowned universities, Ritsumeikan.
