Poland will send to Germany’s application for Leopard tanks for Ukraine. Gather a coalition of states
Certainly, in the near future we will send an application to Germany for cooperation with Ukrainian Leopard tanks, but we want to be there as part of a coalition of countries – said spokesman Piotr Müller.
- When asked whether it is true that Poland has already sent a note to Germany about effective for ordinary Ukraine, Piotr Müller Leopards, that our government will formally continue to lead. – We want to do as part of the package, as part of the coalition – the state.
- But as a result, diplomatic talks. That is, I will make a gesture and we will make it for sure in the near future, such a formal request will be made, but I want to do it – verify it.
- What we hear is only consent that we can export these tanks and other countries on the ones we already have, not that Germany has declared its own support. And this is a special problem – exactly.
Poland will send a note to Germany about effective cooperation with Ukraine’s Leopard tanks as part of a coalition of states
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Annalena Baerbock, asked in the case of the French LCI TV about the case if Poland decided to add its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine without Germany’s consent, said: “For now, such a question is not required, but if we were asked, no we would be in the race.”
Müller, asked on Monday on TVP info, whether this inspection of the head of the German Foreign Ministry “is a task for us at least slightly”, the question that “when it is final consent, so that they can talk about it later”.
When asked whether it is true that Poland has already sent a note to Germany about the reason for ordinary Ukraine, Leopards Müller sent that our government will formally continue to lead. “Let’s remember that we want to do it as part of the package, as part of a coalition of states. And we’re counting on it. But that’s why diplomatic talks (…), but I want to do it” – the official spokesman for the change.
I can’t stop the Germans leaving their own Ukrainian tanks
Word that so far there is no evidence that Germany was producing Ukrainian Leopard tanks from the very beginning, Müller, that there is no such behavior on the part of Germany.
“What we hear in one of the interviews de facto, I hope it wasn’t just felt, it’s only consent that we and another country could export these tanks to authorized ones already owned, not that The Germans have declared their own support. And this is a special problem, because these tanks are very important on the frontline,” the spokesman said.
According to him, “this is unfortunately a very sad picture of today’s Germany.” “And it has not changed over the years. That is, beautiful verbal declarations about human rights, about real values, but unfortunately they do not translate into reality later, when the division is really recognized” – said Müller.
The meeting in Ramstein did not result in an assessment of the Ukrainian Leopard tanks
On Friday, a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Support for Ukraine awaits in the special group in Ramstein. However, it did not bring value in the form of the German consent to free Leopard 2 tanks – which was what Ukraine was counting on before the meeting.
Over the weekend, Prime Minister Morawiecki said that if Germany agrees to introduce the Leopard 2 to Ukraine, Poland will build a “smaller coalition” of countries ready for the first parts of their modern tanks for the fighting neighbor. “Ukraine and Europe will win this war – with or without Germany,” said the head of the Polish government.
Sending Leopards to Ukraine for the Polish question and understanding of the state
“We will not passively watch Ukraine bleed to death. “There is no political and moral justification. I hope the Germans will understand the reason than later. Any country that already understands because of the explanation in Poland’s symptoms,” Morawiecki said.
In today’s premiere, they announced that the Germans present in Ukraine would perform Leopards. It was added that even if we did not get it, we will still transfer our tanks together with others to Ukraine as part of a small coalition.
