Trial against Hells Angels great Frank Hanebuth begins in Spain
His alleged business in Spain was exposed: Hells Angel Frank Hanebuth is on trial in Madrid. He faces years in prison.
A criminal trial against the classic rocker boss Frank Hanebuth begins on Monday before the National State Court in Madrid. The Spanish public prosecutor’s office accuses the 58-year-old from Hanover of drug trafficking and pimping, among other things. She is demanding a total of 13 years in prison for him. Hanebuth is said to have started the crimes in Mallorca between 2009 and 2013 as regional head of the Hells Angels motorcycle club. According to his lawyers, the German denies all allegations.
In addition to Hanebuth, another 46 suspected ex-members and helpers of the rocker club will be in the dock for the ten days of negotiations up to February 10 – including many Germans, but also Spaniards, Turks and Luxembourgers. The prison sentences demanded by the prosecution add up to almost 300 years. The Hells Angels boss’s lawyer believes in a lenient sentence, read more about it here.
Before moving to Mallorca, Hanebuth was President of the Hells Angels Hannover for several years. In the summer of 2013, he was arrested along with many other alleged motorcycle rockers in a spectacular raid on the Spanish holiday island. After two years behind bars, he was released from custody in a high-security prison in Cadiz in the summer of 2015 on bail of 60,000 euros and subject to conditions. But it wasn’t until 2017 that he was allowed to leave Spain. He then returned to Germany.
