Heart of Causse. Labastide-Murat: a nice rugby field
On Saturday January 14, the causse hosted a group of young rugby players in the under 10, under 8 and baby categories. It was the local Labastide-Murat unit headed by Laurent Bellivent and Ludovic Pennequin which organized this event.
Nearly 130 children happily walked the grounds of Sol de Roques in Labastide-Murat. The clubs of Puy-l’Évêque – Labastide, Gourdon, Lacapelle-Marival and Luzech were represented.
“We are very happy to have been able to relocate our set here, to a white rugby area. We wanted to promote the work we do every Wednesday”, specifies Laurent Bellivent. On the green rectangle, a few tackles, good scrums and a lot of enthusiasm.
“I thank the municipality for its support and the loan of tents, the football club of La Fortunière, the parents of our very involved young shoots but also Florent Garrigues and his family for their precious help”, insists Laurent before adding, “We were very honored to receive the visit of Aurélien Pradié, our deputy. We know we can count on him to develop the oval ball on this territory and in the Lot.”
Laurent, the leader, was delighted with the arrival also of Jean-Claude Tardieu, the president of the Lot departmental rugby committee, as well as that of the mayor of Cœur-de-Causse, René Courdes. As Laurent Bellivent reminds us, this unit has several objectives. “We have already offered the practice to young people from the Labastide-Murat basin before perhaps he flies away to structured clubs. In any case, I take great pleasure in coming to coach them. They are diligent and involved .”
Next deadline for Henri, Louis and their comrades, a set on February 11 in Bretenoux.
