star parade, earworms and lots of ambiance
We listen to everything Play4 has met a new show ‘Tulips from Antwerp’ comes that revolves entirely around Dutch music. The channel lost a first teaser and heard it!
Dutch music has been on the rise again in recent years and the charts are really full of it. An evolution that we as proud Belgians applaud. Play4 and RTL4 are joining the train and will be broadcasting soon ‘Tulips from Antwerp’ out, a new show in which, as the name suggests, Dutch music is central.
Old rotten and mischievous newcomers
Kat Kerkhofs presents the program together with the Dutch Buddy Vedder. The intention is that Flemish artists cover and confuse a song by their Dutch colleagues. The singers and singers who go through the revue are a wonderful mix of old hands in the business such as Bart Peeters and Willy Sommers, and mischievous newcomers such as Maksim and Olivia. The songs they can bring can be from the old box of songs that are currently playing gray on the radio, and can be any genre.
The big question is who will end up scoring the Dutch cover of 2023 with his or her version. In a teaser we hear the first notes of the hits from ‘Tulips from Antwerp’, and we have to assume that there are already a number of earworms in between! Belle Perez sings ‘Everyone Is Van De Wereld’ by the Dutch band The Scene and Bart Peeters brings a crazy version of ‘Live’ by AndrĂ© Hazes.
It is not yet clear when the battle between the Low Countries will erupt on your TV screen. We will keep you informed!
