Preparation for Boleslav: Joy from Kušej and Jawa, goalkeeper Polaček retires, Dele deals with visas
Pecha’s departure was expected. “At first we didn’t want to let him go, but in the end we agreed. We negotiated with Mr. Tvrdík, our relations with Slavia are very professional. We also work together at the youth level,” outlines Trunda. In the last twelve months, Boleslav has already sold its fifth player to the Vršovice round.
Will anyone come from Eden to the city of cars? “Slavia’s squad is wide. If they slim it down, we would be interested in one or two players. But I have to fit into the concept of what we are creating here. We will want, we want to bring players, they can help us. But now we’re waiting,” describes the general director from Boleslav.
Boleslav fought the biggest battle for Kušej in the winter, with Baník Ostrava and Olomouc competing for the author of five autumn goals in the Fortuna National League. “We went to Prostějov once with the president, Mr. Dufek, and we talked with the club and the player. I think it convinced him that our interest is real and that he can grow with us in all aspects. We explained to him exactly how his role in the team would be. In addition, he knows coach Hoftych, they come from the same region,” Trund gives an insight into the complicated negotiations. “We thought several times that he would not come to us, but in the end he chose us and we are very happy,” he smiles. Kušej signed a contract for two and a half years.
Jawo, whose contract in Zlín expired at the end of December, has been preparing with the team since December. “We saw in him that he would like to come here a lot. So far, he has impressed us with his attitude and hard work,” praises a member of the board of the blue-and-white club. Twenty-year-old Suchomel will come from Sparta on loan, which will not include a possible option.
Boleslavský also likes experienced midfielder Dele Israel from the Latvian club Daugavpils, they are interested in the small Nigerian, but at the moment they are dealing with administration, helping Dele with obtaining valid visas. At the moment, he does not have permission for me to earn money in the Czech Republic. “And we will not risk even one percent. We are helping him with a long-term visa facility that will be adjusted to economic activity here. He will train with the A team and will also have an individual program. He’s smart, he has potential,” Trunda describes the situation surrounding the twenty-one-year-old fighter. The entire procedure can take one to three months.
What happens next? Boleslav converted the loan of the productive midfielder Daniel Mareček, who shone with five league goals in the autumn, in the offense from Bohemians. The 24-year-old Sparta pupil, like the extreme all-rounder Jakub Fulnek, who extended his contract, signed a contract with Středočech until June 30, 2025.
Central Bohemia signed a contract with Slovakian goalkeeper Martin Polaček. The lanky goalkeeper caught the first six matches, but after the 1:2 defeat with Hradec Králové at the end of August, he sat among the substitutes and did not get on the field again. “We will prioritize the development of our goalkeepers,” adds Trunda, referring to 23-year-old Petr Mikulce and 21-year-old Jáchym Šerák (returning from a loan spell in Varnsdorf), who will provide for Jan Šeda in the spring.
Midfielder Denis Darmovzal and striker Ladislav Krobot will go on loan to Pardubice. Behind Milan Škoda and Lamin Jawa, talented eighteen-year-old forward Matyáš Vojta is to start getting to know the league in the spring. “He came from Vyšehrad, he already played in the B-level. He is very handy,” advises Trunda.
