The weekend is coming and you wonder how you are going to keep busy? There is no shortage of ideas for outings in the region, which should encourage you to set your nose outside. Here is our selection of good ideas and good plans.
The nights of reading are back with a new edition that is even richer, more surprising and more unusual around a theme that will make us shiver: fear. And it is the writer Marie Darrieussecq who is the godmother of this 7th editing. The We Loft Music Festival is back in Roubaix for a 4th edition which will last until January 29. This traveling festival combines current music and an unusual place, often linked to the city’s heritage, with the possibility of visiting the premises for free before the concerts.
The Villa Cavrois, the Protestant Temple, the Ateliers Jouret, the Roubaix conservatory or certain typical lofts are all places that will host concerts this weekend. We can discover, for example, the hay babiesthree authentic and comical young Acadians who offer a mix of folk, comedy and rock.

Le Boulon, the National Center for Street Arts, offers you a light show with an incredible duo of acrobats from the Lomme circus school. Denisse & Yerko, accompanied by a somewhat unexpected object – a truck inner tube – invites us to a magnificent moment of strolling. With their superb acrobatic lifts, they gave us a poetic, suspended moment, from which we come out peaceful, and full of positivity. An ode to resistance in the face of a world that is going too fast.
