Toulouse indoor trial: 40 candles to blow out!
The X-Trial (or indoor trial) is making a comeback at the Zénith de Toulouse on Saturday evening, five years after the last edition. On the complete poster for the 40th anniversary.
It didn’t take a big “4 by 3” advertising campaign and an elaborate communication plan to fill the Zenith in Toulouse, the same evening, on the occasion of the indoor trial in the Pink City, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
After five years of absence, the great X-Trial party created on May 31, 1983 by Bernard Estripeau, first at the Palais des sports and then at the Zenith, is back and trial fans rushed for tickets as soon as the announcement of the event, at the end of November. Results: 5,000 places sold out in mid-December, to the great surprise of the Toulouse organizer who did not expect such enthusiasm.
But X-Trial lovers know it well, in Toulouse the show is always up to par and if the Toulouse stage is not part of the paying circuit for the X-Trial world championship, it remains a highlight of the season. thanks to a connoisseur public, a perfect organization, always spectacular zones, incredible scenery and of course, a very high-level field of pilots with the presence of the best zone devourers on the planet!
At the head returns the phenomenal Toni Bou, still at the top at 36, with his lengthy record (16 world titles in a row in X-Trial and as many in Trial GP since 2007) which make the Spaniard from the Montesa team -Honda without a doubt the greatest trials rider in history. Multiple winner of the Toulouse event, we can trust him to fill the public of the Pink City with his flashes and his passages through spectacular zones.
Raga, Busto, Bincaz in ambush
Behind the phenomenon, the pack will be made up of the indestructible Adam Raga, 40, who has just beaten Toni Bou during the Sheffield X-Trial in early January and who remains his most serious rival with another Spaniard, Jaime Busto. , 25 years old and the talent that the Basque puts at the service of the Gas Gas team. Among the outsiders, Frenchman Benoît Bincaz (Sherco), 26, still in ambush to climb the podium and the young guard of Marcelli (22), Martyn (22), Haga (23) and Gelabert (23) ) who also dreams of shaking up the hierarchy.
