Toulouse. 50% of strikers at Tisseo, “we have to stop the whole economy”!
Since yesterday, the inhabitants of Toulouse and its surroundings have been warned by Tisseo: there will be major disruptions on public transport. And for good reason, the rate of strikers rises to 50% for this first day of strike against the pension reform. The strikers held pickets in front of the company’s three depots and treated colleagues who continued to work to convince them to join the mobilization. At the Atlanta depot, out of 300 employees, 144 are on strike, while in the maintenance of the Colomiers depot, there are 100% strikers!
The rate of strikers could even be even higher, some employees being on strike only from 9 am, in order to go to the demonstration.
A wider mobilization than usual on national days like this, even though there was only a week to build the mobilization. As in many locations across the country, for some workers this is the first time they have gone on strike in the face of government attack.

In the mouths of many strikers, in addition to the attack on pensions, the problem of salaries that are too low to cope with inflation quickly returns: “It’s a general fed up” confides to us a CFDT trade unionist . “With inflation, we’re holding on longer, it’s not normal, we should be able to live off our work! »
Same story with the CGT delegate, Stéphane Chapuis for whom “today it’s pensions but behind there is purchasing power, inflation”.
Stéphane Chapuis, CGT secretary at Tisseo: “We have to stop France and for that we need continuous mobilizations: one day here, one day there, apart from exhausting the guys, we will do nothing else… We have to go up crescendo until the whole economy stops! » pic.twitter.com/UhUa4ngXyV

“Today’s mobilization concerns pensions, but not only! abounds Nicolas, mechanic at the Colomiers depot. “It’s been some time that the government takes us for chitterlings with the rise in fuel and prices in general, and wages are not doing so anymore! »
For the various people interviewed on the picket, only one solution: “block the country once and for all”. For Nicolas, the ideal would be “to do two or three days of membership strikes” with the hope that the retirement/inflation cocktail can be widely mobilized. “If it continues like this, it’s off to a good start! »
“Between the increase in fuel, electricity, food, we are getting out of it the more the car the wages do not roll. We must block the country once and for all. Nicolas, mechanic at Tisséo. pic.twitter.com/7tYkjaWkv2

A plan that the CGT-Pétrole has proposed to all the other trade unions, and with which, Stéphane is in agreement: “To roll back on a reform like that, on what has been seen in the past, strong mobilizations are needed. “The trade unionist calls for a permanent mobilization, rising crescendo: “Today is a test day, but we must manage to stop the whole economy! »
A union on the picket line shares the same wish: “we need an indefinite strike, I don’t have too much confidence, you see, in the confederations… But they have to organize an indefinite strike! »
Across the country, in very many clubs, they also hope to be able to build a movement of all together, over time to make Macron and the bosses bite the dust on all points: pensions, wages, working conditions, etc.
The intersyndicale must hear the call of these strikers and call for several days of strikes in a row which allows to build a real renewable strike.
