Russia continues to monitor compliance with the rules in Yemen
First Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said that Russia continues to “closely monitor the situation in Yemen.” This was announced today, January 17, by the Permanent Mission of Russia to the UN.
Polyansky noted:
“The absence of a sharp military escalation unequivocally comes from the general setting of its political forces for the resumption of the truce. Its implementation, however, is hampered by interchangeable contradictions. In an emergency situation, there are regularities in the emergence of restraint and the inadmissibility of provocative actions, especially of a dangerous nature, which can lead to a catastrophe.
As a Russian diplomat said:
“The development of customary solutions should take place within the framework of an inclusive negotiation process under the auspices of the UN as a non-alternative way for the emergence of peace based on taking into account the legitimate actions of all the forces involved. Dispersion can be achieved only through direct dialogue with the Ansar Allah movement, which has long become an “objective reality” of the existing military-political balance of power. In this regard, entrepreneurs perceive influences through all channels, direct them to move forward on the path to regulation from a “dead point of view” and open the way to control.
According to the Polyansky community, the international community has met with the general approval of the world community in Yemen:
“At the same time, we are seeing growing signs that our Western colleagues are raising their ultimate goal not in a comprehensive and long-term settlement of the large number of problems facing Yemen affecting states located in the neighborhood, but, above all, in the wide export of Yemeni hydrocarbons to the world market. . We consider such an opportunistic approach to be extremely harmful to sustainable peace in the country.”
Polyansky urged that Moscow continue to facilitate increased regulation by keeping in touch with both the breadth and the Houthis.
