Toulouse: he stole a handbag from a car almost a year ago, the police found his trace thanks to his DNA
A 47-year-old man was confused by his DNA found in a car theft in February. He was found by investigators and will have to answer for these facts in court on September 4.
Investigations and surveys have made it possible to locate the author of the theft. The facts date back to last February. On this date, a woman files a complaint. She explains that she was the victim of the theft of her handbag left in her car parked in the Guilheméry district of Toulouse. In this bag: a few tens of euros, identity papers and a mobile phone.
Forensic science technicians take fingerprints and DNA from the vehicle. The elements were then sent to the laboratory for analysis. The results identified a man through his DNA left at the scene. Investigators will then identify and locate the person behind this genetic identity.
The 47-year-old man, already known for this type of incident, was summoned to the police station. During his hearing, he admitted the facts. He left the police station with a summons to appear in court on September 4.
