After the storm Gerard which crosses France this Monday, January 16, 2023, a second disturbance named Good will cross France.
The Southwest will be particularly affected by this gale.
Storm on the coast
This winter storm will affect France via the Atlantic coast with potentially very strong winds, around 130 to 140 km/h on the coast according to Météo France forecasts.
Winds at 100 km/h in Toulouse
The disturbance will then shift inland, losing its intensity.
The first gusts will be felt next night in the Toulouse plain with gusts between 80 and 85 km / h.
Nevertheless, it is at the very beginning of the day, around 9 a.m., that the wind is likely to blow the strongest in Toulouse. Gusts of up to 100 km/h are expected.
The wind will decrease in intensity from the afternoon.
Storm on the peaks of the Pyrenees
The wind will blow even stronger on the peaks of the Pyrenees.
“We will easily reach 140 km/h at the port of Envalira and it will also blow hard on the Tourmalet side. On average, we should be between 110 and 120 km / h in the mountains ”, indicates to Actu Toulouse, Christophe Dedieu, from Weather Pyrenees.
