Feminicide in Rome, woman killed by ex. Gualtieri: need to think about owning weapons
35-year-old Martina Scialdone, a 35-year-old lawyer who dealt with separations and divorce, was killed on Friday evening by her ex-partner, a 61-year-old who shot her outside a restaurant because she did not accept the end of the relationship. Martina Scialdone, a 35-year-old lawyer, is the victim of the latest episode of feminicide. She was a young lawyer who dealt with separations and divorces. The killer is instead Costantino Bonaiuti, a 61-year-old trade unionist, former partner of the victim: after the murder, the man attempted to escape but was arrested shortly after by the police.

The murder took place on Friday evening, around 10.30 pm, in the Appio Latino district, outside a restaurant where the victim was having dinner with his brother a few minutes earlier. The two were joined by her ex-boyfriend. He sat down at the table trying in vain to reconcile but she ran away terrified to the bathroom and decides not to see her again. She then she was persuaded to walk out of her, but shortly after her he put his gun to her chest and fire erupted, which killed her lawyer shortly after her, before the eyes of her brother. Meanwhile Bonaiuti was already in the car trying to hide his tracks, but the police tracked him down a few tens of kilometers away, in the Fidene district, north of the capital. The 61-year-old had a sporting firearms license.
