Which roads will be closed in Athens due to the funeral of the former King Constantine

The Hellenic Police Headquarters announces that, in order to ensure the smooth and safe movement of pedestrians and vehicles due to the funeral procession of the former King Constantine, which will be chanted in the Holy Metropolis of Athens, temporary arrangements will be implemented on the roads of the center of Athens.
Specifically, according to the relevant decision of the Attica Traffic Directorate:
Tomorrow, Monday January 16, 2023 and during the hours 06:00′ to 14:00′ there will be a temporary suspension of vehicle traffic on the following streets of the Municipality of Athens:
- Metropolis throughout its length,
- Aeolou, in the section between Andrianou and Ermou streets,
- Ermou, in the section between Aiolou and Athena streets.
In addition, from today, Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 10:00 p.m. until tomorrow, Monday, January 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., parking and parking of vehicles on the above streets is prohibited.
The traffic regulations may be extended or reduced as well as not applied depending on the prevailing conditions, at the discretion of the head of Traffic measures.
In this context, citizens are asked to comply with the instructions of all the police officers involved in the measures they will show.
It is noted that citizens who wish will be able to come to the chapel of Agios Eleftherios near the Metropolitan Church, where the body of the former King is located, from 06:00 to 11:00 on Monday, January 16, 2023. while afterwards, at the request of the family, access to the Metropolitan Church will be restricted to the guests of the family.
