– Looking forward to the adventure / Bodø/Glimt
The Danish left-back, Adam Sørensen completed the medical test on Thursday and signed his five-year contract with the All Yellows. The left-back comes from the Danish super league club Lyngby, where he has played over 70 games since 2018.
– It feels good to be here. I have been looking forward to this for a long time. I’m looking forward to becoming part of this club, which is in a crazy development, and I’m looking forward to the adventure, he says.
It has been known for a long time that Sørensen has been a sought-after man at Aspmyra, but a previous injury has prevented a transfer at an earlier time.
– We have had dialogue in recent windows, but a cruciate ligament injury has meant that I needed to play matches at home in Denmark in order to fully recover. When the dialog opens again now, I knew it was time to go.
Moving for the first time
Sørensen was born just north of Copenhagen, in the same area as the childhood club Lyngby belongs to. Here he has played his entire career, and is therefore moving away from his hometown for the first time.
– It will be fun and different. I’m moving away from a safe environment, but I know Japhet Sery Larsen from the youth long-distance team, among other things, so it’s good to have someone you know her.
He also knows Albert Grønbæk well from before, and spoke to Philip Zinckernagel before he traveled north. Watch the full interview with Sørensen here, and find out what Zinckernagel said:
On Saturday, Glimt will travel to Spain for a training camp and Sørensen will of course be there.
– It’s good to have a camp now, so that I can get a bit in the group.
– “Exactly”
It is not just Zinckernagel Sørensen has spoken to before the transition to Glimt. There have also been some calls to coach Kjetil Knutsen.
– He says I will fit in well and that I am the type of back they want inn. I can play at my pace, and am quite good in the final third.
– Why is it Bodø/Glimt?
