Confirmed. The supervisory board of LOM Prague aircraft repair shops has two new members, experts on public contracts and the chief of pilots
The Ministry of Defense has announced that it has appointed two new members of the supervisory board of the LOM Prague state aircraft repair shop. The new members of the supervisory board are Brigadier General Petr Čepelka and Jiří Šimon. The Committee for Personnel Nominations discussed it already in December and recommended this nomination in an opinion, as reported by Ekonomický deník in the middle of the previous month. The Ministry of Defense has now announced that the new members of the supervisory board have been finally approved.

Jiří Šimon Ministry of Defense Mgr. Jana Černochová, a member of the Supervisory Board of LOM Praha, sp,” the Ministry of Defense said.
Mgr became the chairman. Jiří Šimon (born in 1982) previously worked in the Technical Communications Administration in Prague as head of the procurement department.
Šimon is a lawyer trained at the Faculty of Law of Charles University, who worked for 4 years and 9 months specializing in public contracts with experience in legislation and methodology at the Ministry of Agriculture, where he was in charge of construction contracts, technology, framework agreements, DNS.
From May 2019 to February 2020, he worked at the General Financial Directorate.
He is also a lecturer in the field of public procurement.
He is the initiator of preliminary market consultations, promoter of responsible procurement, was inspired by several work visits to Great Britain, completed the Public Procurement Excellence course. He was a member of several government working groups on public contracts.
A general with experience in Afghanistan
General Ing. Petr Čepelka (born in 1969) is the current commander of the Czech Air Force.
In the years 1987 – 1991, he studied at the Higher Military Aviation School in Košice, majoring in Aviation and Rocket Technology. In 2011 – 2012, he completed a course for senior officers: State Defense Management – Military Art, Defense Planning, Security and Defense Policy.
In 2015-2016, he was on a course at the Air Force College in Maxwell, Alabama.
Most recently, he completed the General Staff Strategic Course at the Royal College of Defense Studies in London from 2020 to 2021.

The state enterprise LOM Praha, located in Prague’s Malešice, Kbelice and Pardubice, is a repair plant for Russian Mi series helicopters in NATO and EU countries with a closed repair cycle. LOM Praha offers comprehensive services associated with the complete life cycle support of Mi helicopters.
The company mainly focuses on general repairs of Mi-2, Mi-8/17, Mi-24/35 helicopters and their aggregates (turboshaft engines, reducers and auxiliary starter motors).
In addition, LOM Praha manufactures and repairs piston engines. It also provides flight training for pilots at the Aviation Training Center in Pardubice. The subsidiary company VR Group as deals with the production of simulators and simulation technologies for airplanes, helicopters and ground forces.
