The adventure continues for the U18s!
Opposed to Aubagne in the 32nd final of the Gambardella Cup, Frédéric Barilaro’s U18 won without shaking (4-1) and continue the adventure in the competition.
Faced with the little thumb of the competition, Aubagne FC, resident of the District, this 32nd final of the Gambardella Cup was a trap for young Monegasque shoots. Authors of a serious match, the teammates of Lisandru Olmeta finally won (4-1) and reached the round of 16 of the competition after having disposed of Vénissieux in the previous round.
The game changes in five minutes
Faced with a team playing three divisions below, the match is padlocked. The first half allows the two teams to take the measure of the opponent, but the score remains nil and blank (0-0 45th). For Aubagne, who applies himself in front of his public, the shot is perfect for the moment.
Obviously disappointed not to have found the net during the first act, the men of Frederic Barilaro activated on the accelerator from the start of the second period. In five minutes, Maysam Benama (57th), Ilane Touré (60th) and Saimon Boubare (62nd) scored three goals in quick succession and allowed AS Monaco to take off.
Stunned, Aubagne will still manage to save the honor thanks to Khelil Safi (3-1 89th). But the last word ultimately goes to the Reds and Whites, since Lucas Michal adds a fourth but at the start of additional time (4-1 90th). A solid victory for the U18s which allows them to qualify for the round of 16 of the competition. Good job guys !
