The public prosecutor’s office in Berlin has published details of Lichtenberg’s act of violence. Accordingly, a neighbor broke into the apartment of a 52-year-old with all his might and killed her with a machete. Her partner was seriously injured.

Büchner told rbb that the 34-year-old had broken into the neighboring apartment with a chainsaw. “According to previous knowledge, the life partner tried to ward it off. He made serious discoveries and lost a lot of blood while fending off the chainsaw,” Büchner continued. “Afterwards, when the partner fell to the ground, the accused is said to have stabbed the woman several times with a machete.” A machete stab was the cause of death.
According to the Berlin Accident Hospital, her partner suffered severe attacks on her face, arms and hands and underwent hours of surgery. According to the Berlin police, he was still being treated in intensive care on Saturday.
