LYON: Burgundy and Le Creusot were represented at the Student Fair
Creusot-infos went there to make you discover this event which can be very useful…
It is this Friday, January 6 that the Lyon Student Fair opened its doors. It is more precisely at Eurexpo that the show allows thousands of young people for 3 days. The opportunity to discover jobs they hadn’t thought of or even to meet students from their next schools or universities.
To come and meet the more than 250 exhibitors, nothing could be simpler:
From Le Creusot TGV, take the TGV to Lyon Part-Dieu. Then the T3 Tram towards “Meyzieu les Panettes”. Exit the tram at “Vaulx-en-Velin – La Soie” and a shuttle will take you to Eurexpo.

“These fairs are important because there is competition between higher education institutions. We need to make ourselves known. For the IUT du Creusot it is important to be at the Lyon fair because we are recruiting more and more students from the Lyon region. We realize that our differences attract them. We are a small establishment and that is what dresses them. The young people who come to see know that they are not going to be lost in a big university or in a big IUT like in Lyon where there are a hundred of them per class. It is important that we are there to tell them that the IUT model is something good and that Le Creusot is neither Lyon nor Paris but it is very good.
The strengths of the IUT du Creusot are:
– Size
– Commitment of colleagues
– The family atmosphere
– The student life
– The cost of student living »

IUT of Creusot
“I was able to discover the IUT du Creusot last year during the Eurexpo show. Before coming to the show, I didn’t know the city and I didn’t know there was an IUT, so it was really beneficial. I come from Grenoble and I appreciate the size of the IUT du Creusot. It is really necessary that the future students come to the open doors. The small size of the IUT is beneficial to the students because the teachers are very present for us and help us a lot.
For me, the three strong points of the IUT are: Conviviality, sharing and the human side. »

IUT of Chalon sur Saône
“There are a lot of high school students from southern Burgundy who come to this fair and we can reach them that way. Chalon is not so far from Lyon. For the SVM department, there is no department directly in competition with us in Lyon.
The advantages of the IUT of Chalon:
– The proximity that develops between students and teachers due to the size of the establishment
– High-performance equipment and recent premises
– Sports activities
– It’s a nice city to live in”

Burgundy Business School
“Being at this kind of fair allows our school to be known. Young people still go to student lounges because it really helps us figure out what to do. The strengths of the school is the strong associative life. The proximity with the teachers (We are maximum 30 per class). There are partner universities. In Bachelor 1 we are offered a one-month seminar in one of the 4 destinations (Cape Town, Malta, Ireland and Canada). It’s a seminar all in English and for people who don’t dress up, they can do the seminar remotely. »

National Police
“Daily life when you work in the police is a daily life for the unknown. The national police is not a profession but professions. Throughout a professional career, one can change subjects. These are professions of public order, investigation, fight against illegal trade.
The competition dates can be found on the website of the Ministry of the Interior. The police are recruiting and it is important to show our work to young people, in this kind of fair. »
