The capital broke the rules and therefore received a penalty. Fined for gambling
The capital city violated the law on the protection of the economy, when it allowed gambling only at the addresses listed in the plan for the general consideration. The selection of these cities, respectively city streets, was not carried out on the basis of objective, non-discriminatory and five-dimensional criteria, according to the so-called anti-monopoly act in its derivation. OHS Prague fined her last year for mistakes in the vyhlje, for almost millions of crowns. He now paid the second fine, for 1.3 million crowns. The new fine applies to the years 2018 and 2021.
The decision is not final. The opposition, which Denk Metro addressed, but still does not face criticism. The fine from OHS is just a sign of what I have been pointing out for a long time. The city does not know how to regulate gambling, so it made a lot of mistakes, comments the mayor of Prague 9 and the representative for ODS, or TOGETHER for Prague, Tom Portlk for Metro, adding: For me it is a big code, because this industry can be effectively run without damage, with the help of regulation, and at the same time inject significant funds into the budget of city streets. the owner would be looking for a way to preserve revenues, and would not immediately resort to this extreme and initially inappropriate approach.
FinesPiblin ty million crowns to Prague for his gambling scandal. The new city leader is committed to changing it. |
He gave a fine at the time and according to the downward movement YES. We never agreed with the eviction, as it was agreed. It was a scam. The procedure led by the magistrate should have been different. There was, for example, a functioning working group that was preparing the famine. Made up of female professionals, but also a number of city mayors. Unfortunately, the founder, Dr. Hana Kordov Marvanov, as is her custom, finally submitted to the council something completely different, shaking her head, Ondej Prokop, according to which only gambling houses on the streets should be demolished. According to Prokop, luxurious casinos, which are located primarily in hotels or in large shopping centers, where tourists and rich people go and hold poker tournaments, could easily stay where they are. At present, gambling is moving online anyway and it is unregulated. This phenomenon is definitely not going away from society, explains Prokop for Metro.
Prat council defends itself against both fines. According to the Marvanovs, they will oppose the decision to cheat the so-called dissolution, i.e. to try to get the OHS to change its position. According to him, the decision is incorrect and unexamined. and with its still non-authoritative decisions, questions the possibility of different regulation of gambling in individual city streets. It is an opposing intervention in the first place on self-government in the framework of a statutory land-locked city, as the capital Prague is, Marvanov describes his position not only, adding: We will defend our vision in the framework of the dissolution of the OHS chairman, but also in court, and we are convinced, e OHS procedure does not take into account the long-term power of Prague to regulate gambling with the aim of protecting the public and sensitive groups of residents from the emergence of dangerous situations, which is also allowed by the law on gambling from 2016.
In the past, the so-called anti-monopoly law has also punished other city halls and state governments. In April last year, the Supreme Court of Justice dismissed Dna’s claim against the five-million-dollar lawsuit for the same scam. Karlovy Vary has a similar problem.
