Slavia is unlucky, but what did Chytil catch? The situation gets complicated, Minář does not want to back down
Heavy mining work is underway in Olomouc. On Wednesday, Pavel Paska, the manager of striker Mojmír Chytil, went on a trip to the headquarters of Sigma in order to soften the sports director Ladislav Minář, who still does not want to give up his support. In the meantime, Slavia introduced another reinforcement, its second winter – after Petr Hronka from Bohemians comes the 20-year-old Mladá Boleslav defensive all-rounder David Pech, who signed a contract until the summer of 2027.
Already at the end of November, the newspaper Sport and the website iSport.cz reported for the first time about Slavia’s interest in David Pech, at that time it still seemed that Mladá Boleslav would strongly oppose it. So much so that they are unlikely to agree to the transfer. The “Stitched” finally managed to convince the owner of Středočech Josef Dufek and the coach Pavel Hoftych, and the defender and the midfielder are heading to Eden together.
Pech received a contract for four and a half years, i.e. until the summer of 2027. According to Sport, Slavia has to pay Mladá Boleslav an amount between 25 and 30 million crowns.
“We have been watching him for a long time, most intensively since the summer when she came back from serious injuries and had a good autumn part. We already approached him and the club at the end of autumn,” explained coach Jindřich Trpišovský for the club’s website.
Unfortunately, due to a broken leg, he did not play between January and October 2020, he finished the season marked by a long absence rather out of inertia, he only started fully from the ongoing one. In it, he played eighteen competitive matches, scored a goal and recorded another, which is not dizzying productivity at all, but his contribution to the player is mainly in his versatility and physical foundation. He was also included in the under-21 national team, with whom he will attend the EURO in Romania and Georgia this year at the turn of June and July.

David Pech has so far played 36 games and scored two goals in the Czech league. |
“He can play in several positions, he has played almost all of them in his career. His most typical contribution is in the middle of the field, but now he started mainly in the right-back position, he can also play on the left, in short, a universal player. He started playing early in the league, so he has a lot of league starts for his age. I use both legs, it’s soccer-like with very good movement,” Trpišovský appreciates.
“I am very happy that Slavia, such a big club, showed interest in me. I hope her playstyle will suit me. I am an endurance and physically equipped player, that’s what Slavia relies on,” Pech believes in his abilities.
After Petr Hronka, he is the second winter reinforcement of the “stitched”, and he shouldn’t be
