In the city of Zurich, the holiday ban for plan conditions is being relaxed
As the city of Zurich reports, from 2023 there will only be a blocking period for the start of planning editions in summer and over the Christmas holidays.
Today, the planning requirements in accordance with Sections 13, 16 and 17 of the Roads Act can be accessed digitally from anywhere.
Plan editions can be subscribed to by means of a weekly newsletter or via a personalized online service on “My Account”.
Change the circulation practice
Thanks to these new options, it is no longer necessary to visit Amtshaus V in person to inspect the plan edition or to look for plan editions in the official gazette.
The civil engineering office has therefore decided to change the application practice.
Because in order to implement the orders from popular initiatives, overarching strategies, municipal structure plan and so on, the civil engineering department needs more time to present plans.
Holiday ban for plan requirements 2023
The previous practice was that planning requirements only lasted one week into the school holidays.
The blocking period thus began three weeks before the school holidays, as public plan conditions last 30 days.
New plans are only reissued during the summer holidays and the Christmas period.
Specifically, the vacation ban for planning requirements in 2023 lasts for the summer vacation from calendar weeks 27 to 31 and over the turn of the year 2023/24 from calendar weeks 46 to 52.
Online forms for objections
Objections to the road construction project no longer have to be submitted by post in the case of public planning requirements as part of the participatory process in accordance with Section 13 of the cantonal road law.
There is an online form for objections on the City of Zurich’s website.
The objectors also have the option of leaving their e-mail address if they would like to be sent about the publication of the report on the objections.
