HB Ostrov goes into revenge from the leading position, which it holds thanks to twenty-five autumn points for eight wins and a single defeat. KT Praha has nineteen points for five wins and four losses in sixth place. In the fall, Havlíčkův Brod won clearly 3:0 in Prague and wants to win in the rematch as well. “We have to start the second competition well, we want to build on the autumn wins. After the Christmas break, it’s always important to get into the right match rhythm,” remarked Dmitry Prokoptsov, coach of the Havlíčkobrod table tennis players, about the upcoming Friday match.
He will probably have a complete team at his disposal. Tomáš Martinko has been suffering from the flu for the past few days, but he should be fine on Friday. “Pavel Širuček has already trained fully and will be ready, the same applies to Tomáš Tregler,” Dmitrij Prokoptsov said to the team, who can also make an impact from the position of playing coach.
Martin Olejník scored the most points for KT Prague so far, winning five out of nine games. Tomáš Pavelka and Martin Koblížek scored four times, Petr David three times. In the autumn, KT Praha defeated, among other things, in the Prague derby 3:1 the strong El Niňo, against whom HB Ostrov lost 0:3 in its only loss so far.
