Mojmír Chytil and Emmanuel Yeboah. Two strikers that Slavia wanted endlessly. While the transfer of the Olomouc representative should be decided at today’s key meeting in Prague, the arrival of the Ghanaian predator is said to be already complete. The Romanian website Fanatik informs about it, saying that the stitching will pay 2.5 million euros (roughly 60 million crowns). But according to the local expert, it will be a waste of money.
Another masterpiece from the workshop of Jindřich Trpišovský, or an inflated and overpriced bubble that will soon burst? We will probably find out soon.
According to the latest information from Romania, this deal is already baked. Only the 19-year-old forward will become a new Slavia player, and it won’t be for free. The club from Eden will pay around 60 million for him, the Cluj management is said to have managed to negotiate 20% of the further sale.
It is not difficult to guess that it is Trpišovský who is behind this expensive transfer. He spotted the young killer during a double match with Cluj in the basic group of the European Conference League, where the Romanians defeated Slavia twice.
What he likes about Yeboah is his speed and explosiveness, his character as a brawler. Discipline problems are also related to this, but Trpišovský believes that they will tame him. Now it’s about Yeboah having something to install in football as well…
And that could be a problem. This is what former Romanian football player and today’s respected TV expert Basarab Panduru thinks, who sent a rather strong warning to Eden.
“It seems like an awful lot of money! When I saw Yeboah play for the first time, he appeared to me as a player with desire, the likes of which I have never seen in Romanian footballers. But as time went on, that disappeared from him. He seems to me to be traded, as if he didn’t have those reactions anymore. That’s why I say that two million euros is really enough. Moreover, almost for nothing. I didn’t expect Slavia to give so much,” introduced Pandora for Orange Sport.
