M the service council adopted the National Plan for the fight against cancer in the Republic of Bulgaria 2030, which follows the priorities outlined in the low plan for the fight against cancer.
The National Plan to Fight Cancer outlines a vision for the implementation of multi-sectoral policies, related to overcoming the negative trends in the country in terms of morbidity and mortality from oncological diseases, announced the management press center.
The main goals are related to the development of the system that offers sustainable and modern problems in relation to oncological diseases.
Oensuring the conditions for improving health awareness and culture and for implementing timely preventive measures to eliminate and reduce exposure to harmful influences caused by modifiable risk factors that limit the morbidity of the environment and lead to a higher health culture and a healthier lifestyle.
Introduction of various screening programs for colon, breast, cervical, prostate cancer, aiming to cover as large a percentage of the target population as possible; It provides an opportunity for modern diagnostics for patients and equal access to diagnostic methods, centers and leading specialists, as well as to modern treatment and successful integration of the multidisciplinary approach and systemic oncological treatment in clinical practice in the country.
Efforts will also be directed to improving the efficiency of life and satisfaction with medical and non-medical care and reintegration by building an effective network of units, specialists and forms for full communication with patients and their relatives.
In order to fulfill the goals set in the Plan, activities are foreseen in various directions, through which conditions will be created for modern access to various methods of diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases, which are based on the principles of personalized healthcare and an integrated multidisciplinary approach.
This should lead to a reduction in cancer morbidity and mortality, increased survival and significantly improved the health status of the population.
