Immediately before that, the Government recovered the funds, not foreseen in the first draft of the budget law, to complete the three sections (T1, T2 and T3) of line C.
THE EXTENSIONS
Furthermore, with the resources allocated in this way, it will be possible to start the design of the other two sections, the T2 which reaches as far as Clodio and Farnesina and for which it is expected to be able to carry out the inspection excavations as well, and the T3 which in the future will reach the northern suburbs of the city, up to Grottarossa. Over the next ten years, a total of 2.2 billion euros will be allocated to allow Metro C to complete its journey. The funds will be used in the initial phase to meet the higher costs of the T3 section, the central one and whose Porta Metronia station (formerly Amba Aradam) will open by the Jubilee of 2025. «The Government has been able to infuse new life into the Metro C project – comments Davide Bordoni, Capitoline councilor and Roman secretary of the League – With the ordinance he gives the green light to the definitive project of the Termini-Colosseum section and approves the economic commitments.
