Good news for Slavia. The captain is recovering, looking forward to the start of training
Both the coach and the fans missed Holeš in the team a lot. Now the player is looking forward to starting training on Monday after the health issues. “I feel good. We start preparing on January 2nd, I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been out for a long time,” said the pro footballer website of football Slavia.
On the Slavia website, he also talked about what kind of injury was actually bothering him. “I had surgery on the tendon, the straps that hold it at the ankle. My tendon was unstable, it flew a little over my ankle when I was under load. It needed to be surgically fixed there so that the tendon would stay in the groove where it belongs,” revealed Holeš, who had to be under a sling at the end of November. “It will be six weeks. So hopefully I will finally be able to start training.”
It is clear that he will not fully participate in the preparation and the load will increase. “I will devote the first week to training and strengthening my leg. In order for the leg to gain muscle, I had it in fixation, so it lost something. On the 10th of January, we will fly to the Portuguese training camp, the doctor has given me permission to start running and work on my return,” Holeš confided.
It remains to be seen when he will wear the red and white jersey again. “It depends on how the leg reacts, how I can get back into it. I believe that during February I will return to the team and start training with the boys,” he looked to the future with optimism.
Finally, I wish the stitched camp all the best until 2023. “I wish our fans good health, this has been a very topical issue for me personally in recent months. And I also really wish them that they have a successful year ahead of them, that they still like to go to the stadium and we made them happy. And I hope that together we will celebrate winning the title at the end of the season.”
