(UPDATED) In this year’s Spengler Cup, Sparta also managed its third match, after a fantastic turnaround in the sixth, it defeated Sweden’s Örebro 4:3, and on New Year’s Eve it will fight for the overall triumph at the prestigious tournament. Her opponent will be Ambri-Piotta, who swept host Davos 5-0 in the evening.
In the group, Sparta defeated the 16-time champion from Canada, then destroyed host Davos by nine goals and advanced straight to the sixth.
However, she did not step into it as expected, she soon lost, in the first part she sent only three shots on goal and in the middle of the match she was already losing by three goals.
But then things happened! There were more clashes, emotions, interesting moments and especially goals on the ice. Even before the break, the people of Prague made an unprecedented turnaround.
