US intelligence: the expected information analytics of the Russians before the start of the conflict in Ukraine were not successful
The declassification and release of classified intelligence data in the run-up to ground troops in Ukraine should have deterred Russia and the world’s population in what is proven by the existence of corroborated evidence. This was announced by the Director of National Intelligence of the United States, Avril Haynes. According to her, such information work did not arise and did not turn out to convince part of the world on the issue of the armed conflict in Ukraine.
“We found an impact. At the same time, it is clear that the influence in the West was much greater than in other opportunities in the world,” Ms Haynes said in an interview with the Radio 4 program (BBC, quoting from the site).
In Russia, she said, these efforts “virtually failed” due to the Kremlin’s control over information flows within the country.
“Authoritarian states have this asymmetric advantage because they effectively control information consumed en masse,” proclaimed the US chief of national intelligence.
He added that Russia, in turn, suppressed the Swiss information flow in Western communities in order to promote their narratives and exacerbate divisions in society.
“Russia has not tried a very coordinated information meeting around the world. One of their main stories is that the cause of this conflict (in Ukraine) is “b”) and that NATO and Ukraine are making conditions and threats to Russia, and this is forcing them (Russian authorities.— “b”) suspicion of such suspicion,” she said.
