The thirty-sixth year of the New Year’s Eve Derby will take place on the artificial grass in Eden on Saturday, December 31, from 10:00 a.m. If you can’t make it to Vršovice, don’t worry, because it will be broadcast live by the ČT Sport channel.
As announced on the silvestrovskederby.cz website, the nineteenth veteran derby of both famous brands is planned, in which players aged 45 and older can participate. It is played 2 x 20 minutes.
The home team Slavia can claim their seventh win, Sparta has three and the match ended in a draw nine times. The last time was last year, when the club’s icons retired to the cabin after a 5-5 result.
An hour later, the 36th international derby will start, in which players from thirty-five years of age and older can participate. The match, which will be refereed by Karel Hrubeš, Josef Zvonič and Kryštof Mencl, is played ten minutes longer than the veterans.
