Ostapa Safina helped our team win the first game against Davos, after which we bounced back to a crushing 9:2 victory. “if we’re in a fight with the fact that we’ll fight for the semi-finals and the result is worth it,” said the young tonka after the promotion to the semi-finals.
No one beat us in both matches, but we still have two wins. Do we have the role of an outsider?
None of us thought about it. If we’re 100 percent fit and nobody’s looking at who’s playing against us. We fought hard, but we managed to beat strong Canada and Davos. if we are in a fight with the fact that we will fight for the semi-finals and the result is over.
Have we broken the tie in our favor?
We play in the dark, every time we fall into the net and no one chases personal statistics. We dancers help the defenders, they, on the other hand, support the flow and we play offensive hockey, from which we make goals. But everything springs from darkness.
How to prepare for the semifinals?
On Thursday we have a day off and everyone can do what they want. Let’s have a quick thorn, jump into the semi-finals and get the same result. (smile)
Do you enjoy the great atmosphere on the tribune?
I was surprised that in such a state the home fans supported the team. It can be seen that in the summer you go to hockey and cheer. Much respect to them for that.
Is the Spengler Cup considered a team building event?
Urit, the atmosphere here is great! It’s great to get out and hang out with the boys. In addition, there is a beautiful landscape in Davos, so I enjoy every moment.
In the morning, you went to the thorn with the small children, so you won’t go to the thorn even before the semi-finals?
Calm meme! (smile) It was fun, I was behind the thorn rd. I saw a lot of girls who skated for a long time and I can see that spring hockey is developing. It was a nice read.
How were you a trainer?
If I had a thorn, I might be a little drunker. (laughs)
