Music: Sipari directs the ISA – Abruzzo year-end Grand Gala

Concerts in L’Aquila and Chieti with Viennese dances and Italian operas

(ANSA) – L’AQUILA, DECEMBER 28 – An important repertoire for the last production of the year by the Orchestra of the Abruzzo Symphony Institution (Isa) which is preparing for the end-of-year Grand Gala scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday 29 December, at 6pm at the Teatro dell’Aquila Ridotto and Friday 30 December at 9pm at the Marrucino Theater in Chieti. On the podium Jacopo Sipari Di Pescasseroli. Solo voices: Maria Francesca Mazzara, soprano and Valerio Borgioni, tenor.

A program inspired by the repertoire of the traditional concert of the Vienna Philharmonic which takes place on January 1 of each year in the Goldener Saal of the Musikverein of the Austrian capital, which has become one of the most popular musical events in the world, inextricably linked to the music of the Strauss family. To this repertoire, the ISA has combined a tribute to Verdi and Puccini referring to the custom of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, which on January 1st of each year offers a program which in its second part (the one broadcast on television) proposes Italian operatic masterpieces .

“I am particularly happy and honored to direct this New Year’s gala – says maestro Jacopo Sipari Di Pescasseroli -. I have unconditional affection for Isa. We have postponed this program twice due to Covid, so put an end to the terrible period that we lived and that changed our way of experiencing music”.

The production closes a year that marks the return to normality for the ISA with a number of season ticket holders for the Forty-eighth concert season that has exceeded expectations on the eve. “Let’s close this 2022 peacefully – evaluates the president of ISA Bruno Carioti -. The recovery of the institution is proceeding quickly in compliance with the needs of the artistic programming which this year was, finally, for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, regular anomalies after a complicated January. We are satisfied with the response that comes both from the audiences of L’Aquila, Tortoreto, Atri and Città Sant’Angelo, centers in which we have our stable seasons, and from those of the theaters where we all perform ‘inside billboards of other entities”.
