You can vote for Europe’s most beautiful Advent tram until Sunday – the winner is unlikely to be Budapest
The Egy czech transport website has announced the competition for Europe’s most beautiful Advent trams this year as well. The question is whether there will be any excitement in the competition, because so far all tenders have been won by the gingerbread tram of Miskolc Közlekedési Vállalat.
At the invitation of the Czech portal MHD86 in 2022 32 European cities tram was named – admittedly, one of them is a cuckoo’s egg, since Philadelphia is located in America. In recent years, minor and major changes have taken place on the two lower steps of the podium, but one factor has remained constant: the victory of the Miskolc Gingerbread Tram. On the other hand, Budapest is this year’s dumbed down and deglazed entered the competition with an Advent tram.
Citing savings, Gergely-led Karácsony and BKV decided that there would be no lights on this year’s Advent tram, saying that it would cost the city too much.
However, shortly before Christmas, one was launched minimal lightening, the top of which was wrapped around with LED lights. But returning to the original Advent tram: the question is whether a vehicle blessed with a completely ordinary appearance will receive votes at all?
