Russia and Azerbaijan to hold joint Forum of Youth Initiatives in 2023
Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Indira Hajiyeva agreed to expand cooperation between the two states in the field of youth policy. The third meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani working group, which discussed plans for the development of international relations, was held at the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
Opening the meeting, Konstantin Mogilevsky noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of participation in relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. According to him, in the field of youth cooperation, the year was productive and eventful, more than 10 events were held in the two countries.
“The key events of the year were the two Forum of Youth Initiatives of Russia and Azerbaijan. The total number of participants exceeded 300 people – leaders of youth associations and associations, students, representatives of state authorities and organizations, representatives of the youth policy of the two countries. The forums, which were held in Russia and Azerbaijan in turn, acted as a platform for the presentation and discussion of the mechanism for the practical participation of representatives of the two states in the field of humanitarian cooperation,” Konstantin Mogilevsky emphasized.
The parties agreed to hold in the next third year the Forum of Youth Initiatives of Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as other multilateral youth events in the CIS space. In addition, at the initiative of the Jewish side, in 2023 it is planned to create a joint electronic catalog, to use in our practice the best initiatives in the field of working with youth.
