Toulouse follows in the footsteps of the FRMF and supports Zakaria Aboukhlal, accused of advocating Salafism
After the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), it is the turn of Toulouse FC to defend its player Zakaria Aboukhlal, accused of advocating Salafism by the Achkayen site.

The latter accuses the Lion of the Atlas of taking advantage of his position in the national team to “disseminate his religious ideas indoctrinated by the European Salafist sheikhs”.
The player found the support of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) who denied the allegations of the media.
“The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) categorically denies the false accusations published in an article published by one of the electronic sites and published in question the behavior of the Moroccan international Zakaria Aboukhlal during his participation in the National Selection “A “in the final phase of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022”, it is underlined.
And to add: “The FRMF wishes to recall that Zakaria Aboukhlal has adopted, like his teammates, an exemplary behavior which has led to the signing of honorable results by the National Eleven in this planetary meeting”.
The FRMF insists on the values of righteousness of the player and his irreproachable commitment. The authority affirms that it will defend the player, in particular by way of justice.
“The FRMF specifies that it will use all means of recourse in order to protect the members of the national from all false accusations affecting their personal lives or their behavior in exercising national duty”, concluded the press release from this body. .
Toulouse FC, the player’s club, followed in the footsteps of the FRMF to defend its striker. “The Toulouse Football Club condemns the accusations made by a site with regard to our player Zakaria Aboukhlal and joins forces with the Moroccan Football Federation to ensure all its support and confidence in our player”, first writes the TFC on his Twitter account.
Before adding: “The Club condemns the accusations made by this site, which are false, unfounded and degrading, which damage the image of our player, and reserves the right to use all the remedies available to defend the image and integrity of Zakaria”.
For its part, the National Press Council (CNDP) considers that the slanderous proposals against Zakaria Aboukhlal “can in no way be penalized as a journalistic work that respects itself”.
“The focus of the press on any person because of their ethnic or religious affiliation is an unacceptable stigmatization which is moreover rejected by all press ethics charters, including the nationally approved Charter of Professional Ethics”, specifies the CNDP.
The latter therefore decided to present this file to the Committee on Professional Ethics and Disciplinary Questions, in accordance with its charter and the law governing its bodies.
