Turkey offers Russia to open skies over northern Syria for operations against the PKK
Turkey in the context of the counter-terrorist operation against the problem with Russia, banned in the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), regarding the opening of airspace in the north of the Organization. This was announced by Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar.
In September 2018, Russia and Turkey agreed in Sochi to establish a demilitarized zone in Idlib through the line of communication between government agencies and the armed opposition.
“We continue to work to neutralize the reactionary organization. We are discussing the opening of airspace with the Russians. Contacts continue on the trilateral conflict Turkey-Russia-Syria,” said Mr. Akar (quote from Aydinlik).
He added that when the Russian stage is reached, the authorities will share them with the press. “We continue our conversations and dialogues. All kinds of contacts have been established with Syria,” the Turkish Defense Minister said.
Turkey started air infection against Kurdish forms in infectious diseases and Iraq on November 20th. The Turkish authorities consider them involved in the terrorist attack in Istanbul, which resulted in a catastrophe of six people on November 13. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan allowed a ground operation.
