the president of the Uefa Aleksander Ceferin has a long letter on the published official website of the European football organization, where he draws the sums of 2022. Here is the full text: “Reinvesting profits from our elite competitions has laid the foundations for the growth of women’s and men’s football. At our 2022 Congress in Vienna, we announced the expansion of our HatTrick development program, which channels proceeds from the Championship Men’s European in projects of all 55 affiliated associations. From 2024 to 2028, HatTrick funds will increase by 21%, reinforcing initiatives that will lead football on our continent to grow more and more. This year, the social heart of UEFA has beaten at a rapid pace. Leveraging the extraordinary popularity and influence of football, we have raised awareness of human rights and environmental and social issues, contributed to the fight against climate change, campaigned against discrimination, managed programs to promote diversity and inclusion and promoted a healthy lifestyle for young and old”.
“Of course, none of these achievements would be possible without the club and international competitions that inspire our mission to serve as an important link between professional and grassroots football. Together, they demonstrate the importance of open competitions, where qualification it is based on sporting merit and everyone, regardless of age or ability, can dream of playing at the highest level. Your support will inspire us in 2023, as we redouble our efforts to ensure a healthy and sustainable future for European football.”
