Joshua King, Enner Valencia | Joshua King and Fenerbahçe are doing something they have only managed once since 2018
Fenerbahce have won only one of the last six away games against Trabzonspor. We think they are doing something with those statistics on Christmas Eve.
Norwegian international striker Joshua King has played just three league games since joining the Istanbul club in the summer, but he made his mark with a goal and an assist before a thigh injury sidelined him.
The 30-year-old has been good in training matches during the World Cup break and also contributed when the seriousness started again with Tuesday’s cup match. He scored a goal and set up as Fenerbahçe beat Istanbulspor 3-1 in the Turkish Cup on Tuesday.
Nice odds on Joshua King scoring for Fenerbahce on Christmas Eve
Nevertheless; On Christmas Eve, he must, by all accounts, start on the bench. Then Ecuador’s World Cup star Enn Valencia is back and he is likely to start at the top along with Belgium’s Michy Batshuayi.
We think the offensive stars of Fenerbahce will decide the match.

We think Fenerbahce will win. You bet on her at odds of 2.35
The Turkish Super Lig is underway again, and on Christmas Eve Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce meet for a big game at the Şenol Güneş Stadium.
This is a showdown between last year’s league champions and the current league leaders.
Trabzonspor is clearly marked by the fact that top scorer Andreas Cornelius went home to Denmark and Edin Visca is out with an injury.
Substitutes Maxi Gomez and Yusuf Yazici have failed to fill the void and Trabzonspor have scored just 19 goals in the first 13 games. This means that Fenerbahce have scored almost twice as many goals as them so far this season.
Trabzonspor is down to a slightly disappointing seventh place with 23 points after 13 league matches, six points behind Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce have topped the Super Lig table for most of the season, but they are just two points ahead of Galatasaray after they surprisingly stumbled against Giresunspor in the last game before the World Cup break.
Won five games in a row
Giresunspor thus became the first team since Basaksehir back in February to win against Fenerbahce in the domestic league.
Joshua King and his teammates cannot afford any more blisters for what is between the clubs at the top of the table. Only seven points separate the top eight teams in the league.
Fenerbahce started the second half of the season by beating Istanbulspor 3-1 in the cup. It was the fifth victory in a row for the Istanbul club, who have won all four training matches during the World Cup break. In this period they have beaten Rayo Vallecano, Villarreal, Alanyaspor and Salernitana.
Trabzonspor played 1-1 against Ankaragucu in their last match. It was the fourth draw in the last six matches, so the World Cup break came conveniently for them. Visca is fresh for Saturday’s match, and this means that they are stronger offensively before meeting the top team. Abdullah Avcı has often had a slightly cautious approach to the top games, and we think that will also be the case for the game on Christmas Eve.
Fenerbahce is not going to smell in the series one after the other. In the match against Giresunspor, they seemed completely clueless and they made a number of individual mistakes in defence. Jorge Jesus is not going to allow a replay. Both managers will want to avoid defeat in the first game after the World Cup break. This will probably be a close and evenly played match, but we think Joshua King and his teammates will narrowly win.
