Operation at the Gateway Gardens S-Bahn station in Frankfurt: police officers shot a suspected knife attacker there in the evening.
The man was caught near Frankfurt Airport without a valid ticket and without a mask on an S-Bahn, a police spokesman said. The 27-year-old then threatened the inspectors and attacked them with a knife. The 35 and 51-year-old men suffered stab wounds in their arms and shoulders.
Attacker hit in the leg
The S-Bahn stopped at the Gateway Gardens station, where alarmed state police officers got on. She fires a shot and injures the attacker in the leg. Paramedics took the three injured to the hospital.
