Two trams collided on the Petőfi bridge
Two trams collided on Monday night in Budapest, on the Petőfi bridge, so trams 4 and 6 are not running on the same section.
THE Budapest Transport Center post is currently keeping a low profile on the accident, only one traffic change is mentioned, namely that tram number 4 will not run between the Corvin quarter and Újbuda center, replacement buses will transport passengers on the missing section. Tram 6 does not run between the Corvin quarter and the Móricz Zsigmond roundabout.
The disaster management also informed that two trams had a run-on accident on the IX. district, on the Petőfi bridge, near Boráros tér, on the side leading from Pest to Buda. As a result of the collision, both trams ran off the tracks.
The professional firefighters and ambulances of the capital city were also alerted to the accident.
The protracted technical rescue is managed by the disaster prevention operations service.
According to reports on social media, one driver of a Combino fell ill when he collided with another vehicle in front of him.
