A neighbor who showed great “cold blood”
Saturday December 17, 2022, in the early morning, a serious fire declared himself in a farmhouse in Saint-Etienne-sur-Chalaronne. When firefighters arrived, the fire had already pierced the roof of the building.
But the intervention of a neighbor a few minutes before a permit saving the lives of three elderly people, who “still slept” while their homes caught fire. The man, who is said to be a former firefighter, thus pulled them out of the flames by showing great “cold blood”, according to the emergency services.
A call to find the village hero
Since then, the town is in search of this anonymous savior who left without a trace “to thank him for his good citizenship and his act of bravery”. A call that has been shared more than 700 times on social networks.
“I would like to be able, as Mayor and as a simple person, to be able to simply say thank you to him and let him know how simple gestures can have enormous scope”, wrote the mayor of Saint-Etienne-sur-Chalaronne. , Gaetan Fauvain.
