The stock market ended the week with a fall
Also on the last trading day of the week, Oslo Børs went into the red. The main index fell by 1.2 percent to 1,180.79 points at the close of trading on Friday.
The stock market opens with a 0.4 percent decline, and continues to fall throughout the day, with a still falling oil price also contributing to the decline.
Stock market locomotive Equinor was, as usual, the stock exchange’s most traded company, ahead of Aker BP and Subsea 7. All fell on the main index, Equinor the most with 2 percent and Aker BP with 1.8 percent.
Among the other large companies, Telenor fell by 2.3 percent and Norsk Hydro by 0.8. DNB rose by 0.4 percent.
Today’s clear winner on the main index was Nordic Nanovector, which rose by as much as 17.6 percent.
The price of a fat North Sea oil finally fell by 2.7 percent and was traded at USD 79 at the close of trading. A fat American light oil went for just above 74 dollars, and a drop of 2.6 percent.
The leading European stock indices did not have a good end to the week either. In London, the FTSE 100 fell by 1.4 percent, while in Paris the CAC 40 fell by 1.2 percent. The DAX 30 in Frankfurt recorded a fall of 0.8 percent.
