HAON – Debrecen fencers were greeted
During the national championship to be held in Budapest, the Hungarian Fencing Day ceremony took place, in which DEAC was also involved. In fact, so many fencers from Debrecen have never received an award at this event – let him know the club on Sunday.
Before the award ceremony, Zsolt Csampa, president of the association, greeted the guests, including Gábor Schmidt, deputy state secretary responsible for sports, MOB general secretary László Fábián, MPB general secretary László Szabó, and Vitályos Eszterlieuteux, MVSZ board member.
Katinka Sugár Battai – adult world champion in 2022, junior world championship silver and bronze medalist, junior European championship gold and bronze medalist, U23 European champion – who was preparing for the finals of the national championship at the time of the award ceremony, which she later won.
They also welcomed the European champion and multiple World Cup winner wheelchair fencer, Richard Osváth, veteran World Championship silver medalist, European Championship bronze medalist dr. István Szentkirályi and Dezső Tibold. Last but not least, without whom these successes would not have been possible, is none other than the coach of the DEAC fencers, László Dávid. The excellent professional Zsolt Csampa, the president of the association, greeted him on the occasion of a great season.
