They say stop banning bulky instruments in TGVs
Against the ban on large musical instruments in the TGV and Intercités, musicians are invited to demonstrate in music in the stations on this weekend of departures on vacation, everywhere in France. In Lyon, the meeting is given at noon at the Part-Dieu. A musician can take the TGV with his instrument provided that it is transported “in a case provided for this purpose, preferably rigid, and that the case measures a maximum of 130x90cm” according to the SNCF. A rule which therefore excludes double bassists, harpists, lutenists, tubists, cellists… “There are those who receive fines, there are those who are refused boarding because their instrument is not the right size . There were discussions at the beginning of the fall but which have so far produced nothing, ”assures Antoine Galvani (Snam-CGT).
They say immigration no to the law
Sunday, International Migrants Day, several demonstrations are organized throughout France against the immigration bill carried by the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, and which must be presented at the beginning of 2023. In Lyon, the demonstration will take place on Saturday, at 2 p.m. h 30, in Bellecour at the call of the collective of support for refugees and migrants of Lyon, which brings together various organizations (League of human rights 69, Network education without borders, collective of foreign students, FSU69, Attac69, CGT Educ ‘Action, EELV69, PCF, Cimade…). In particular, he criticizes the government for attacking the right of asylum by wanting to “reform the procedures and decide much more quickly who is authorized and deport more effectively those who are not”.
The Extinction Christmas Rebellion
Extinction rebellion activists announced on social networks an action “A polluter for Christmas” this Saturday, December 17 in Lyon. As usual, they do not reveal their target, nor the place and time of their event. They guarantee that “the action of civil disobedience” will be carried out by activists from all over the region “against the big polluters and the impunity they enjoy thanks to the complacency of the government”.
For “a Christmas without foie gras”
They denounce the exploitation of animals for the production of foie gras. Animal rights activists promise a “shock happening”, place de la République, in Lyon, this Saturday between 4 and 6 p.m. “There are many vegetable alternatives to foie gras that are just as good but without animal suffering”, met in preview Natasha Garnier, animal activist.
Support for Iran
Three months after the death of Mahsa Amini, the protest movement is not weakening in Iran. The collective Femme vie liberté, present in a dozen cities in France, is once again mobilizing in support of the Iranian people. On the occasion of the world day for the fight against violence against sex workers, the associations Aides, Cabiria, Frisse, Médecin du monde and Strass (sex work union) are organizing a rally on Saturday at 1 p.m. Place des Terreaux.
