The children received more than just candy at the Chocolate Collector’s Gala in Debrecen
The Bihari State Association of Caregivers (BAGE) organized its chocolate collection drive for the eleventh time, which held its ceremonial handover gala at the Meteor Center on Thursday. Although the participants received sweets, the organizers also “packaged” a much more valuable travel item that can be carried in the heart: they put role models on stage. One of these was László Toszy Rostás, who was placed in foster care at the age of four and had a difficult fate. Deputy mayor Diána Széles said that since the age of ten, he had wanted to run a street food buffet, and he did it in downtown Debrecen. From many jobs, he achieved this, you avoided those friends who could have gotten you into trouble. The deputy mayor singled out the campaign’s originator, Lajos Buzás, as someone who had a miserable start in life and can look up to him. It was said that his health problem did not stop him from organizing the donation and the gala, he went until he collected 3,500 packages of candy.
The president of BAGE directed attention to the partners helping in the campaign – including the Cívis Social Dining Center and the Rainbow in the Rain Foundation – and drew attention to the fact that the glory belongs to God.
