Saturday, December 10, following the victory of the Moroccan football team against Portugal, the Rhône prefecture adapted its security system for the Festival of Lights.
The surprise victory, Saturday, December 10, of the Moroccan football team against that of Portugal in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar, somewhat impacted the security system put in place by the Rhône prefecture as part of the Festival of Lights. This will be adapted.
In a tweet posted at 6:07 p.m., end of the Morocco-Portugal match, the Rhône prefecture explained that in “due to the high attendance and in order to allow the smooth running of the third evening of the #FDL2022 (Festival of Lights, Editor’s note), the bridges of the University, Guillotière, Wilson, Lafayette and Morand were closed at the traffic. Access to the quays of the Rhône is also closed.”
